There are four new free TV stations that the operator of the Astra satellites announced today for its orbital position of 19.2 degrees East. Most of the satellite antennas in Germany are probably aimed at these TV satellites from the company SES. Accordingly, many millions of TV viewers in Germany (and Europe) will be happy about the new, free TV channels via satellite . According to Astra, there are 17 million households in Germany alone that can now receive the channels in one fell swoop. Officially, the start will not take place until February 1st. According to user reports, however, the channels can already be seen – at the latest after a channel search.

THESE ARE THE FOUR NEW FREE TV CHANNELS ON ASTRA

The four new channels come from the company High View. If that doesn’t mean anything to you, Deluxe Music might mean something to you. This music station has been on Astra for many years. Now there are four new offshoots: Deluxe Dance by Kontor, Deluxe Flashback, Deluxe Rock and Deluxe Rap.

With Deluxe Dance you see current dance hits, club classics and party hits up to dance pop. Exclusive DJ sets also have their place in the programme. Deluxe Flashback looks back over the past four decades, with a focus on the 90’s and 00’s. If you’re more into hip-hop, you should turn on Deluxe Rap: International, German rap, old school, classics and also a pinch of R&B and soul. And with Deluxe Rock, rock fans of all ages get their money’s worth. The spectrum ranges from cult rock and alternative to German rock to current rock and new trends.

THIS IS HOW YOU RECEIVE THE NEW CHANNELS VIA SATELLITE

You can receive the new TV channels with any receiver that can receive HD channels. This results from the selected broadcast format in DVB-S2. Unfortunately, the channels themselves are not available in HD quality on the Astra satellite system, only in SD.
