2 Irritations about an existing ZenFone 4
So far, the assumption has been made that the ZenFone 4 will be the first of the new ZenFone series to be officially presented. However, the manufacturer has thwarted the bill and unveiled the ZenFone 4 Max . As with its predecessor, the new ZenFone 4 Max has a very large battery with a nominal charge of 5,000 mAh and is rarely found in other smartphones. According to the manufacturer, the cell phone should last up to 46 days in standby mode, and with intensive use it is still 26 hours. In order to be able to conserve the battery, Asus has integrated a so-called PowerMaster technology, which doubles the battery life, but is also supposed to protect it through slower charging.
A 5.5-inch display with full HD quality is also embedded in a metal frame. Asus did not opt for on-screen buttons, but instead placed them and a physical menu button below the screen. On the front there is also a speaker and the selfie camera, which is equipped with 8 megapixels and an LED flash. The dual main camera on the back captures moments with 13 megapixels. It is provided with a wide-angle lens and a f / 2.0 aperture that tends to be weaker.
Processor and connections
The ZenFone 4 Max is kept alive by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or alternatively by the Snapdragon 430, which is traditionally used in inexpensive mid-range or entry-level smartphones. The eight cores each clock with up to 1 GHz in both models. They are supported by 4 GB of RAM; the internal storage capacities are staggered: 16, 32 and 64 GB are available, all of which can be expanded using a micro SD card .
In terms of connection options, the ZenFone 4 Max supports LTE Cat.4, allowing users to download speeds of up to 150 Mbit / s and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbit / s. A dual SIM option is also available. Android 7.0 Nougat in combination with Asus’ user interface Zen UI is preinstalled as the operating system.
Price and availability
The ZenFone 4 Max has already been announced for Russia; converted, the price for the smartphone is around 200 euros. It is still unclear when the new Asus cell phone will appear in Germany.
PRESENTATION OF MORE ZENFONE 4 PHONES
According to information from the Asian news portal DigiTimes , Asus should introduce more smartphones this month. It is not certain whether this is true. It is possible that the manufacturer will unveil its expanded product portfolio at IFA. The international radio exhibition will take place in Berlin at the beginning of September.
After the summer presentation, however, the number of Asus models will be increased. According to Digitimes information, which should come from Asus’ executive suite, the Asus ZenFone 5 will be presented at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in February of next year.
IRRITATIONS ABOUT AN EXISTING ZENFONE 4
Asus launched a cell phone called ZenFone 4 back in 2014. The cell phone has now been taken off the market and is unlikely to be related to the expected new entry. The technical data alone showed the ZenFone 4 (2014) to be an entry-level device. The 4 in the label indicates the display diagonal of 4 inches. A correspondingly larger ZenFone 5 is also in the manufacturer’s portfolio
