The Reinkstone R1 was able to completely convince crowdfunding donors. No wonder, because the tablet offers an extremely long battery life in combination with a comparatively high-resolution and colorful screen. We reveal what else the high-flyer can do.
Tablets come in all sorts of shapes and colors these days. But just like their little siblings, the smartphones, they mostly have a specific problem: a low battery life. Although there are already some more battery-saving approaches such as devices with an e-paper display, users have to accept a lot of compromises in terms of colors and resolution. At least that’s how it has been so far, because the new Reinkstone R1 tablet was developed with precisely these restrictions in mind.
REINKSTONE R1 WITH THE WORLD’S HIGHEST COLOR RESOLUTION
The Reinkstone R1 is not yet on the market. The manufacturer is currently trying to finance the device by means of a crowdfunding campaign – with resounding success. Because the original funding target of 100,000 US dollars (equivalent to around 84,000 euros) was reached just 15 minutes after the campaign started. The company has now raised around 493,000 euros from 1,443 supporters and the crowdfunding campaign will continue for 28 days.
