Ecoflow brings a new power station generation to Germany. The three models of the River 2 series with LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries can not only be used at home, but also as a portable, mobile power supply solution.
EcoFlow already surprised at the IFA in Berlin with the Delta 2 , a particularly powerful power station. In the best-case scenario, it can even be used to supply power to an entire single-family home. And now it continues with an update in the longer available River model range. The new River 2 models from Ecoflow are intended to appeal not only to a mobile target group, but also to a younger, price-sensitive one. Also camping holidaymakers and outdoor adventurers who, for example, regularly travel in a mobile home.
ECOFLOW RIVER 2: THREE NEW POWER STATIONS ANNOUNCED
The River 2 series includes three power station variants with different battery capacities. While the Ecoflow River 2 brings it to 256 Wh, the River 2 Max has 512 Wh when fully charged. And if you want to secure even 768 Wh, you can opt for the River 2 Pro. The output power of the three models is 360, 660 or even 940 watts. According to the manufacturer, the basic and Max models can be recharged in around an hour, while the Pro version takes around 70 minutes. The X-Stream technology from Ecoflow is decisive for these comparatively fast loading times.
However, it does not have to be recharged using the house electricity. If desired, it is also possible to connect a solar panel so that it can be recharged using solar energy in three to six hours. And that with 110 watts of solar input power for the basic model and even up to 220 watts for the two more expensive models. Ideal for use in the great outdoors or as an emergency power supply at home.
WLAN AND BLUETOOTH ARE ON BOARD
Two (River 2) or even four (River 2 Max & Pro) classic sockets can be used on the power stations. Depending on the model, there are also two or three USB -A ports, a USB-C port and a car socket. The two more expensive models also have two hollow plug connections (DC5521). On request, wireless connections to the new power stations are also possible via WLAN or Bluetooth via the Ecoflow app. Among other things, you can use the app to activate a timer or display the current solar output.With regard to the recharging of the LFP batteries, the manufacturer also promises that at least 80 percent of the maximum possible capacity should still be usable after 3,000 battery cycles. According to the manufacturer’s calculations, the new River 2 models last almost exactly ten years with daily use before the maximum usable battery capacity drops below 80 percent.
