The year is over and we at inside digital are looking back on a fantastic 12 months. 2022 was once again a year of records. At the end there is an almost unbelievable number. It’s time to say thank you.
After already extremely good vintages in 2019, ’20 and ’21, the success story of inside digital continues. In 2022 we would like to thank you for your loyalty – expressed in an insane 207 million page visits .
There is a lot of diligence, skill, creativity and zeal behind this number. We have put all this together with our now more than 30-strong team to provide you with exciting, sometimes controversial and informative content. We are happy to have reached this milestone and throw a big THANK YOU to the virtual group.
A LOOK BACK
2022 was once again a year of change, of transition. After online magazines like inside digital were mostly among the winners in the Internet-advantaging phase of the corona pandemic, the tide could have turned again last year.
But we look back on a varied year, recorded more ups than downs and were able to develop further thanks to a colorful mix of content (news, guides, tests, deals), many appealing campaigns (readers’ choice, advent calendar ) and a solid technical basis.
In 2015, that was just seven years ago and we were still called inside handy, the colleagues at t3n already listed it as one of the top 25 tech media on the German-speaking Internet. At that time, a generously rounded 1.4 million visits were recorded in the course of the year. After that, the journey really began.
In particular, our restructuring – inside handy became inside digital in 2019 – is bearing fruit. In the year of the reinvention there were still 38 million visits, but in 2020 the sound barrier fell: 113 million page visits. After 2021, the end of the road seemed to have been reached with 133 million views. Now let’s go into the new year 2023 with Mach 2!
We are really proud of the fact that we worked for all of this ourselves. There is no external marketer, no investor and no huge publishing house behind inside digital. It should stay that way!
INSIDE DIGITAL TURNS 20!
What’s next? In the new year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. inside digital, maiden name inside handy, started in 2003 as an online version of a mobile phone sales folder ( the whole story is here ). This anniversary should be celebrated. So get ready: In 2023, birthdays will be celebrated here all year round !
