iPhone 13: Improvements to wireless charging with MagSafe

With the iPhone 12, Apple introduced the so-called MagSafe last year. The system, which among other things allows more convenient wireless charging, is to receive some small improvements in the iPhone 13.

With the launch of MagSafe last year , Apple presented a system for easy and safe charging of the iPhone 12 . A ring made of magnets, for example, holds Apple’s small charging puck on the smartphone. At the same time, the ring allows faster charging with up to 15 watts. An iPhone that slips off the Qi charging mat overnight is a thing of the past.

A new report by Max Weinbach and EverythingApplePro now describes that Apple wants to further improve this system in the iPhone 13. The coil in the smartphone that is required for inductive charging is supposed to be “a little bigger”.

The enlargement of the coil is intended to optimize the temperature management and at the same time support higher performance when charging. So it is conceivable that wireless charging of the iPhone 13 via MagSafe is a little faster than the iPhone 12 .

Weinbach had also previously reported that the upcoming Apple smartphone would receive stronger MagSafe magnets. These optimizations could also help Apple to activate what is known as “reverse charging” in the iPhone 13. This would make it possible, for example, to charge AirPods Pro or other devices with Qi technology wirelessly on the back of an iPhone.

IPHONE 2021: SUPPLIERS NAME MARKETING NAMES

As MacRumors writes, citing a report by the Economic Daily News , Apple’s suppliers are said to have spotted the names and models of the next iPhone. As already expected in many places, the iPhone 13 is to be presented in four models in September.

These variants follow the example of the iPhone 12. This means that there is definitely an iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. In terms of the size of the respective displays – 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7 inches – there should be no changes. So far there have been suspicions that Apple could possibly use the iPhone 12s for the name. This naming took Apple recently at the iPhone XS in 2018, the successor to the iPhone X .
