The wait for new models of the MacBook Pro with Apple’s own processors could soon come to an end, as mass production is said to be imminent. A presentation of the notebooks in 14- and 16-inch format could then follow a little later.
MacBook Pro fans are still waiting impatiently for the introduction of new models with Apple’s own processors. Some observers were already expecting two new MacBook Pro models with 14- and 16-inch displays to be presented at WWDC at the beginning of June.
As MacRumors writes , referring to a report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the successors to the current Intel models should go into production soon. This in turn means good news for an official presentation.
MACBOOK PRO WITH APPLE PROCESSOR: MASS PRODUCTION TO BEGIN SOON
If you believe the analyst, mass production of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro will begin in the third quarter of 2021. The first newly designed Apple notebooks could be rolling off the assembly lines in the Far East in just a few days or weeks.
The prompt start of production does not necessarily mean that the presentation will also take place in the third quarter. Earlier reports spoke of a presentation at a possible iPhone event in September.
According to Kuo, Apple could again hold its own event for the new Macs in October or November. This could allow the California-based company to introduce new products over a period of several weeks. Furthermore, there could be a few days or weeks between presentation and delivery. The reason given for this is delivery bottlenecks for mini LED displays.
THE NOVELTIES OF THE UPCOMING MACBOOK PRO
The biggest novelty, in addition to the existence of a 14-inch variant, is likely to be the
use of Apple’s own processors. Specifically, an M1X chip is expected here, a new variant of the already known M1. The latter is already used in the iMac, MacBook Air, Mac mini and the 13-inch MacBook Pro, among others.
Internal documents also revealed the supposedly new design of the MacBook Pro. Among other things, the return of an HDMI port and an SD card slot could be seen here. On the other hand, the Touch Bar was not visible, so traditional function keys could also return.
