At Amazon you can buy , among other things, the new Umidigi F3 5G for just under 300 euros . The heart of this smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 as the central processing unit. 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space can be used. Although the screen is 6.7 inches, it has a below-average resolution of 720 x 1,650 pixels.
There is a triple camera (48 + 8 + 5 megapixels) on the back and a 16-megapixel camera on the front. Based on Android 12, there is also a 5,150 mAh battery on board and NFC for mobile payments is also supported. Alternatively, the smartphone is also available as an LTE variant for just under 220 euros .
BLACKVIEW BV9200: OUTDOOR SMARTPHONE FOR BEGINNERS
The new outdoor smartphone Blackview BV9200 is available via AliExpress. At the start of sales for around 230 instead of the regular 465 euros. Based on the MediaTek Helio G96 processor, it plays in the lower middle class with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage space. The manufacturer uses a 6.6-inch IPS panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,408 pixels for the display.
A triple camera (50 + 8 + 0.3 megapixels) is complemented by a 16-megapixel camera on the front, and the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh. However, the weight is very high at 310 grams due to the particularly robust housing. Also important: 5G is not supported.
DOOGEE S99: SMARTPHONE WITH NIGHT VISION CAMERA
Slightly more premium, especially when it comes to the cameras: the Doogee S99. This smartphone also focuses on the MediaTek Helio G96, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage space, but there is also a special camera setup. The main camera from Samsung has a resolution of up to 108 megapixels, along with a 64-megapixel night vision camera and a wide-angle macro camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels. A 32-megapixel camera can also be used at the front for selfies and video chats. The screen is 6.3 inches (1,080 x 2,340 pixels), the battery has a capacity of 6,000 mAh and the price is 325 euros .
LAUNCH SOON IN GERMANY: NUBIA REDMAGIC 8 PRO
Not yet officially presented in Europe: the new gaming smartphone Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro . However, details of the new mobile phone are already known before the launch in the coming week, because the phone has long seen the light of day in China. The equipment includes a 6,000 mAh battery, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm and a sophisticated cooling system (ICE 11.0). A RedCore R2 gaming chip is also used. And of course an active fan and special shoulder keys should not be missing from a gaming smartphone.
The AMOLED display (6.8 inches, 120 Hz, 1116×2480 pixels) in the 20:9 format is supposed to impress with its hardly discernible display edges. Additional features include a front camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels and a triple camera on the back (50 + 8 + 2 megapixels). The smartphone, weighing 228 grams, is available in three storage variants (8+128 GB / 8+256 GB / 12+256 GB). The prices in China are the equivalent of 550, 605 and 660 euros respectively. In this country, there should be a surcharge of at least 100 euros for each model.
OPPO WITH TWO NEW 5G SMARTPHONES
Also two candidates for the European market: the newly presented entry-level models Oppo A56s 5G and Oppo A78 5G. But only if Oppo gets its patent disputes under control. Otherwise, sales in this country should be difficult or impossible. Unless you buy the cell phones via detours abroad.
As an entry-level smartphone, the A56s 5G is clearly intended to appeal to those customers who want an inexpensive 5G smartphone. The LCD display (720 x 1,612 pixels, 90 Hz) is 6.56 inches in size, the MediaTek Dimensity 810 is used as the processor – flanked by 8 GB of RAM and either 128 or 256 GB of storage space. Memory expansion via a microSD card is possible. A simple dual camera (13 + 2 megapixels) can be found on the back. The price: 150 or 180 euros.
Slightly better equipped: the Oppo A78. The LCD display is 6.56 inches in size, and the manufacturer uses the MediaTek Dimensity 700 as the processor, which is supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. In addition to a 50-megapixel camera, there is also a 2-megapixel camera on the back. The price for the smartphone, which is factory-equipped with Android 13 and a 5,000 mAh battery, is the equivalent of 220 euros.
