NEW INDIE CARD DECK GAME IN A SLAVIC SETTING

The small indie studio “Morteshka” from Russia has launched the dark RPG adventure “Black Book” with a team of just five people . From August 10th you will experience the Russian folklore of the 19th century as a witch first hand. In seven chapters you can get closer to culture and mythologies in the villages and cities of the game and face demons in the card deck battle system. The game will be available for the PS4, the Nintendo Switch, the XBox One and on the PC.

“HADES”: THE GAME IS NOW ALSO COMING TO THE PLAYSTATION AND XBOX

“Hades” doesn’t hold back its chic graphics in the trailers. As a rogue-like hack-and- slash game you fight your way, how could it be otherwise, through Greek mythology, more precisely the underworld. The character design of the gods and beings is not necessarily what one is used to from films and games, but it is very futuristic.

In any case, the Olympian gods will help you on your way. Because although rogue-like games can be a challenge for one or the other experienced player, “Hades” ensures that it is playable and enjoyable for all requirements. Different modes like “Hell Mode” or “Pact of Punishment” allow you to push your gameplay to the limit – if and when you want it. On August 13th the time has come for the XBox One, Xbox Series X | S , PlayStation 4 , and PlayStation 5 .

SUGAR-SWEET: THE NEW ADVENTURE “KENA: BRIDGE OF SPIRITS”

“Kena: Bridge of Spirits” is an action adventure game that takes place in a wonderfully animated world. Together with the spirits from the woods, the reds, who look like little balls of fur with googly eyes, you can explore an abandoned village in search of the holy shrine and restore the world to its former glory. You have no choice but to defeat misguided spirits and thus improve the strength of your reds. Although the young development studio “Ember Lab” wanted to release “Kena: Bridge of Spirits” on August 24th on the PS4 and PS5, the release was postponed to September 21st at short notice. But we wanted to show you now.

The developers have had to postpone the release of the game again.

“ALIENS” FANS CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A NEW GAME

The “Aliens” triology should already be known to many. 23 years later, “Aliens: Fireteam Elite” continues the events of its predecessors. Your fireteam of marines faces the threat of the xenomorphs again. You experience new story aspects of the alien world on your campaigns and against the more than 20 types of opponents you will need a good strategy so that your team survives. You can put this together from different classes so that you get your money’s worth in the co-op survival shooter from August 24th. The game will be playable on the PS4, the PS5, the XBox One, the XBox X / S and on the PC.

AN OPEN WORLD FROM A BIRD’S EYE VIEW

On August 5th you will take to the skies with “The Falconeer: Warrior Edition” on the Nintendo Switch and Playstation. Above the clouds, the Falconeer carries you over the cities and the sea. In the fight against other Falconeers and dragons you can use all possibilities of your companion and follow him in his acrobatic tricks. However, the open world, the “Ursee”, is also great to look at. To win in your battles you will need a lot of money to upgrade your equipment. In any case, an exploration tour is inevitable in this game.

If you are still looking for tips for new games this summer, you will hopefully have discovered something for yourself during the brief glimpses. The smaller titles, which have been developed with a lot of passion and do not come off the assembly line, also sound promising.
