Sony unveiled a long-awaited addition to the Playstation 5 system at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. The Japanese are thus opening the door to a new world – and much earlier than expected.
Sony presented the new PlayStation VR2 at CES 2023 and published the market launch dates. The Japanese have also started pre-sales and announced the prices. The planned first delivery date is also known.
SONY PLAYSTATION VR2 IS LAUNCHED
After the delivery problems of the PlayStation 5, Sony is stepping on the gas with VR equipment . Because already on February 22, the first devices should be sent and on their way to the customers. There are three order options to start with. The basic set of PlayStation VR2 and two controllers costs just under 550 dollars at the market launch in Sony’s online shop.
There is also an optional charging station for the two controllers. It costs another $50. There is also the option to order a bundle at the market launch for pre-orderers. If you put it in the shopping cart, your bill is almost $600. In return, you get the Game Horizon “Call of the Mountain” in addition to the basic package.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY
The availability of the new headset from Sony is limited. You can order a maximum of one device. So you have to decide now for the bundle or the basic set of the PlayStation VR2. You should not forget that you must already have a Sony PlayStation 5 in operation so that you can use the new VR glasses.
THESE ARE THE GAMES FOR SONY’S PLAYSTATION VR2
The list of games for the PlayStation VR2 can now also be found in the Sony online shop. This does not include a lot of games, however. So far, 15 games are listed, two of which cannot yet be ordered. So you’ll have to wait for Jurassic World “Aftermath Collection” and CROSSFIRE: “Sierra Squad”.
In addition to the already mentioned Horizon, The Walking Dead: “Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution” should become one of the favorite games. And also a very classic franchise is already available for the PlayStation VR2. Resident Evil Village is already on the list of games that can be ordered.
