5 Quiet and still loud: the best headphones for on the go

How are you going And what should “op Jöck”, as we say here in the Rhineland, under no circumstances be missing besides the obligatory things (keys, mobile phone, wallet, …)? From this question we have knitted five categories. We asked about the best short-distance sharing, i.e. scooter or bike sharing and also about the preferred car sharing service. And this time new for private transport: the best electric car.

It went on with the “here” – here the question of smartwatch or fitness tracker arose. Last but not least, the readers’ choice ended with the question of the top headphones. Do over-ears or sporty in-ears win the race? Here we go!

In 2020, the e-scooter provider Tier won this category. There will be a new winner in 2021 – not only in terms of the provider, but also in terms of the type of transport. It gets more active, because the winner … Nextbike!

The (e-) bike sharing provider, which is active in numerous cities with the simple free-floating principle and is often connected to local public transport, wins by a clear margin ahead of the rail alternative “DB Call-a-Bike” . The first scooter sharing service only came in third. Tier cannot defend the victory, but lands on a strong third place and secures the podium.

CARSHARING: THIS SERVICE TAKES YOU FROM A TO B.

They say the fear of favorites, right? Once again after 2020, the underdog Sixt Share took the crown in the battle for the best car sharing and relegated Share Now’s top favorites to second place. In fact, a very thin race, in the end only 67 individual votes were decisive in favor of Sixt Share.

Flinkster completes the podium – but already quite behind. Scouter is close here. Miles, WeShare and Cambio land on the other places.

NO SURPRISE? IT’S THE BEST ELECTRIC CAR

A new winner, in 2020 there was no question of the best electric car. Fully electric vehicles with emission-free engines have long been available in a wide range. Here, too, there was a close race at the top. Ultimately, the Tesla Model 3 prevails and leaves the VW ID.3 behind as the worst pursuer. The popular Frenchman, Renault Zoe, just failed to make it onto the podium and had to leave third place to the “fat Benz”. With the EQC, Mercedes has evidently met with approval – even though the car is not based on a purely electric platform, but is modeled on its combustion brother in terms of style and construction.

FITNESS BRACELET OR SELF-SUFFICIENT SMARTWATCH?
That’s a clear thing – our readers swear by detail-obsessed and versatile smartwatches instead of more or less smart, but all the slimmer fitness bracelets with Bluetooth . The clear winner is the Apple Watch Series 6. When the eSIM is activated , the watch can perform numerous functions independently and without the iPhone being in radio range. Ideal especially if you don’t feel like exercising or simply don’t have pockets to carry your cell phone with you.

Second and third places are also firmly in smartwatch hands: Samsung’s Galaxy Watch3 beats the outdoor specialist Garmin Fenix 6 Pro on the podium.

QUIET AND STILL LOUD: THE BEST HEADPHONES FOR ON THE GO
The best headphones have a nice variety of over- or on-ear models and in-ear plugs. With a slight tendency. Let’s start at the top: The top headphones for our readers come from Bose. The Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 won the readers’ poll in 2021. The model is really hard on your ears, and thanks to its strong noise suppression, it leaves you protected from all the noise out there. In general, noise canceling is very popular. The Apple AirPods Pro, which are in second place, also offer this feature – but in an in-ear design. This is followed by another pair of over-ears: The Sennheiser Momentum 3 beat Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro and land in third place.

Here are the further results of our readers’ poll for 2021:
