Carrie Bradshaw and her friends are back and driving New York City. In 2004 the series “Sex and the City” was over, but the makers insisted on producing two more movies. But then it became quiet around the group of friends. Years later there is now a sequel to the series, which will run under the name “And Just Like That …”.

Sex and the City ohne Samantha

In the six previous seasons, the four friends Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte wanted to find love. Their friendship was put to the test several times. In the new edition, the friends have to deal with the problems of everyday life again. But this time without Samantha. Why actress Kim Cattrall is missing has not yet been officially explained. However, there were disputes even then, which is why Kim Cattrall is probably not part of the party now.

A first picture from the shooting shows the three remaining friends. Also in “And Just Like That …” the Sex and the City actresses are top styled on the streets of New York. Only Miranda’s red hair is a thing of the past, because it is now blond-gray-mottled. The time leap of almost 20 years has also left its mark in Carrie’s hair in the form of gray streaks.

These actors are there

Samantha is missing but other characters from “Sex and the City” are definitely there. So Chris Noth takes on the role of Mr. Big again. So the great love drama between Mr. Big and Carrie can go on. Also from the original cast are Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg in the role of Steve Brady, Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch and, last but not least, Even Handler in the role of Harry Goldblatt. Also new is “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Sara Ramírez in the role of Che Diaz. As a queer non-binary stand-up comedian, Che Diaz has a podcast where Carrie will be a frequent guest.

The new series “And Just Like That …” will have ten episodes. However, it is not yet known when you can see them. The previous six seasons of “Sex and the City” are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video .
