APPLE FIXES VULNERABILITIES IN IOS 14.7
We have already told you in detail what changes will result on current iPhones with the update to iOS 14.7 . But just one week after the introduction of iOS 14.7, iOS 14.7.1 is the first important update from the update. It fixes an issue where iPhone models with Touch ID cannot unlock a paired Apple Watch using the Unlock with iPhone feature. Much more important, however: the software patch also contains important security updates for security gaps, some of which are already being actively exploited by hackers. Apple therefore advises all iPhone users to update as soon as possible.
ONEPLUS WITH NUMEROUS UPDATES
An update to OxygenOS 10.3.12 is available for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T . Not only does it improve overall system performance, but it also brings the July patch for the Android operating system to the phone.
The Chinese manufacturer is now rolling out OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro . Although only the May patch for Android is part of the update so far, there are a few other improvements. For example, the battery consumption of the two smartphones should improve after installing the software update. In addition, the two phones are said to be less prone to overheating. And the camera software has also been updated. OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 for the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro promises the same improvements .
Updates also for newer OnePlus models
Available
for the OnePlus 8T : OxygenOS 11.0.9.9. This update focuses on a smartphone camera bug. Because in certain scenarios it is possible that the screen lights up brightly without this update when a recording is made in night mode.
And for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro you have also been able to install new firmware for a few days: OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 . With this new firmware, not only does the July patch for Android land on the smartphone, OnePlus also gives the always-on display a Bitmoji function (Settings> Adjustment> Clock on the inactivity display> Bitmoji).
And perhaps the most important update: OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus Nord N10 5G . It not only brings Android 11 to the smartphone, but also the June patch. In combination with camera improvements and an optimized ambient display, numerous new functions land on the mobile phone.
UPDATES FOR SAMSUNG SMARTPHONES
There are
also improvements for numerous smartphones from Samsung . The South Korean electronics company has released the July Android patch for downloading many other mobile phone models. For example for the Samsung Galaxy S21 , the Galaxy Note 9 or the Galaxy Xcover Pro . But also for many other A-series models such as the Galaxy A52 5G , Galaxy A70 , Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A80 as well as for the Galaxy A12 , Galaxy A41 , Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A51. The July patch is now also available for the foldable model Galaxy Z Fold 2 and for the somewhat outdated Galaxy A9 (2018).
Samsung even goes one step further with the Galaxy A52 . Although August has not yet dawned, the August patch for Android is already available for this first smartphone model. Many other Samsung smartphones should also be provided with a corresponding update in a few days. We will keep you up to date on this.

Important: All of the Android updates mentioned here are rolling out in waves by the manufacturers mentioned. The new firmwares are therefore not available around the world at the same time, but staggered in time. If you are not yet able to install an update for your mobile phone, it is best to be patient for a few more days, before the appropriate notification about the smartphone update appears on your screen. Or check manually in the settings of your smartphone whether you can already install a new update.
