Listen to music at no extra cost, but only what you want. Spotify and Co. offer this to a large extent with basic subscriptions. But they also severely limit your use. Spotify is now working on a model that has it all.
Nowadays, a subscription to a streaming service is what is part of the equipment and almost a daily requirement. But paying at least 10 euros a month is a lot of money if you have booked several subscriptions. For example, you can listen to music for free – but only to a very limited extent, for example on Spotify . But that has now come to an end. Because the Swedish streaming service is supposed to be working on a new subscription model that attracts attention above all with one detail: the costs.
SPOTIFY WITH A NEW SUBSCRIPTION MODEL
As The Verge reports, Spotify is working on a new subscription that should be available for $ 0.99 a month. The streaming provider has already confirmed this to the magazine. Converted that is just under 80 cents; but it is likely that Spotify will also introduce the new subscription in this country for 99 cents.
The inexpensive model runs under the name “Spotify Plus” and is a hybrid solution between the free and premium version . Accordingly, you pay for Spotify Plus, but you will still have to listen to advertising with Spotify Plus – as is known from the free version.
However, there are also some differences that make the paid version more attractive. While you can only skip six songs per hour with Free, it is unlimited with Plus. You also have the advantage of not being limited to just 15 playlists. In the free version, you can only listen to songs from 15 set playlists. It is not clear how exactly the selection at Spotify Plus looks. Compared to The Verge, Spotify speaks of “on demand listening”, which could mean that you can choose and listen to your playlists as you like. It also remains unclear whether you will then have unlimited access to playlists.
MARKET LAUNCH UNCLEAR
Although Spotify has confirmed the work on the new subscription model, the market launch should not be finalized. According to his own statement, there is no guarantee for it. Spotify Plus is currently still in the test phase.
In addition to the free version, Spotify Premium is currently available for 9.99 euros, the student version for 4.99 euros, duo (for couples or people in a household) for 12.99 euros and for families for 14.99 euros per month.
