At the CES, Roborock is presenting four new devices for a clean home. We were able to take a closer look at three robot vacuums and a battery-powered vacuum cleaner at the Las Vegas exhibition center. The results at first impression can convince.
Together with the new vacuum robot flagship S8 Pro Ultra, Roborock presents a new docking station that not only empties and cleans the robot. She also blow-dries it with 45-degree air to prevent odors and stains on the robot or station.
ROBOROCK S8 SERIES: THE NEW VACUUM ROBOTS
With the Roborock S8, S8 Plus and S8 Pro Ultra, Roborock has three new vacuum robots in its luggage. The highlight of all three models are the new brushes. Two counter-rotating silicone brushes with silicone lamellae are designed to reliably pick up the finest dust and heavy crumbs. Hair should also get caught in it even less often. However, that was hardly a problem with the predecessor – not even in continuous use. Thanks to a significantly increased suction power of 6,000 Pascal, even metal objects such as small screws can be sucked up from the floor.
The proven VibraRise wiper system is used for wiping. The robot scrubs the floor with the cloth to remove stubborn stains. If a room or area is not to be wiped, the Roborock S8 can raise the wiping module and thus prevent moisture on the floor.
The Roborock S8 and the S8 Plus only differ from each other in the station. So the S8 comes with a normal charging dock and the Plus model with an auto drain station.
The current flagship is the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. It is the only one of the three new models that can not only lift the wiping module, but also the vacuum cleaner brushes if you only want to wipe but not vacuum. As with its predecessor, the station can not only automatically empty the dust container, but also clean the wiper cloth thanks to the large water tank. For the first time, drying for the wiping cloth is also installed as standard. This had to be retrofitted beforehand .
The Roborock S8 series will be available in Germany from March 2023. The S8 then costs 699 euros, the S8 Plus 899 euros and the S8 Pro Ultra a whopping 1,499 euros.
ROBOROCK DYAD PRO
The Dyad Pro, on the other hand, is a new cordless vacuum cleaner that can clean floors from light and heavy dirt. Depending on the degree of soiling, a variable amount of cleaning agent is added to the cleaning water. In a first test at CES, the Dyad Pro had no problems with a puddle of cornflakes or a sticky floor.
In the docking station, it cleans itself automatically after use and waits for the next use. Although the Dyad Pro is not lightweight, it can still be easily lifted into and out of its station. On the way, it pulls itself over the floor under its own power, so that you don’t have to do much to clean the house.
Other improvements to the standard model include higher suction power, lower power consumption and the ability to stand without a station. According to the manufacturer, the Roborock Dyad Pro will soon be available for 449 euros.
