The trick is to send the orders to an Amazon Locker or a DHL pick-up station (branch or Packstation ). Many are already doing it. Because if you’re not currently working from home, that’s the best option anyway. So you don’t miss the delivery while you’re sitting in the office, but can simply collect your package on the way home. Packstations are located in many supermarket car parks or train stations. Places you pass by on your commute anyway. By clicking on “Use a pick-up station near this address” you can display pick-up stations nearby.
However, one disadvantage remains: With standard shipping, you don’t get your products the next working day, you have to wait two to three days for it. Is an order particularly urgent? Then you can also book premium shipping for 4.99 per order. Or order from another dealer. Coolblue , for example, delivers on the next working day even without a paid subscription.

Just in time for every Prime Day, there is the opportunity to try out the Amazon Prime subscription for a few days free of charge. After ordering, you can switch off the subscription again without incurring any costs.

However, other exclusive services are no longer available with the waiver of the Prime subscription. Above all , Amazon Prime Video . If you use the video service frequently, there is no way around Prime. Occasional users drive cheaper with the monthly cancellable variant for 8.99 euros. However, those who have subscribed to other streaming services such as Netflix or Disney + will also find enough entertainment there.
