Vodafone Hammer tariff is back: 1,000 Mbit / s for less than 40 euros

Starting next week, Vodafone will get its popular gigabit cable campaign out of the box again: You can get a gigabit connection for less than 40 euros. We’ll show you the action details and what applies to existing customers.

Gigabit connections from Vodafone

From next Tuesday (August 10th) to November 1st you can book the gigabit tariff from Vodafone again for 39.99 euros per month and keep it permanently. The last action was almost exactly a year ago. The regular connection costs 49.99 euros per month. The special thing about it: Existing customers can also switch to the tariff.

WHAT DOES THE VODAFONE TARIFF OFFER?

For just 39.99 euros per month, in addition to the mandatory landline telephone flat rate, you also get an Internet connection with a downstream of 1,000 Mbit / s – i.e. 1 gigabit. This price is permanent for customers and will not increase after a year or two. Disadvantage of the gigabit offer via cable: Unlike a fiber optic connection , which also offers gigabit data rates, currently only 50 Mbit / s are technically possible in the upstream. In the future, however, this should also be increased – but this is not relevant for the campaign.

Where Vodafone is not yet able to deliver 1,000 Mbit / s, you can alternatively book a tariff with 500 Mbit / s downstream and 25 Mbit / s upstream. However, there is no price reduction here. However: Vodafone has now supplied 22 million households with the necessary Internet standard.

The tariff includes the Vodafone Station, a standard cable modem without WiFi . If you want to use a FritzBox , you can rent the FritzBox 6660 Cable for 4.99 euros per month. Of course, you can also buy a router over the counter. In any case, it must support DOCSIS 3.1 . Replacing the standard router makes sense in any case, as the complaint rate from users who have connected it is, in our impression, comparatively high.

EXISTING CUSTOMERS CAN SWITCH – WITH MINOR RESTRICTIONS

The offer also applies to existing Vodafone customers. The tariff can be changed online or via customer service. Existing customers can switch to GigaCable Max – and at any time for a lower or the end of the minimum term of a more expensive fixed rate. If, for example, you are a customer of the current 250 Mbit / s tariff for 39.99 euros per month, you can now get 1 Gbit / s at the same price if you wish. However, the contract period starts again. If you have a tariff whose basic costs are below 39.99 euros, you can only change when your contract period has expired.

If you are still with another provider today, you can switch to Vodafone. Provision costs should not be incurred as part of the campaign. And: You can use your new Vodafone line for up to twelve months free of charge. How long this is in your case depends on the remaining term with your previous provider.

Incidentally, if you book one of the other Red Internet & Phone tariffs during the same campaign period, you will not pay any basic costs for the first six months. Until the start of the campaign, it is 19.90 euros per month.
